Denise Yopp

Denise graduated from Radford University with a Master of Science in Counselor Education in May 2014.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia, as well as being licensed in North Carolina and Maryland.  She is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor.  Over the course of her career, she has helped medical and counseling practices grow in the number of clients they were able to provide services to and successfully serve high risk populations.

Denise has worked in the field of addiction since 1991, ranging from criminal justice to residential and outpatient substance use disorder treatment.   She has provided both individual counseling and group services.  She also has experience in psychiatric hospitalization and treatment, as well as managing psychiatric medicine services in the corrections population.

Denise has specialized in providing services to underserved and high-risk populations, including those with addiction and criminal justice clients. She offers a holistic, trauma-informed approach in working with clients.
