Intensive In-Home Services (IIH) in Virginia

Helping Virginia families thrive through compassionate, in-home mental health support for children and teens.

What Are Intensive
In-Home Services (IIH)?

Intensive In-Home Services (IIH) provide therapeutic support for children and adolescents who are at risk of out-of-home placement due to behavioral or emotional challenges.

Services are delivered in the youth’s home and community, focusing on crisis stabilization, family engagement, and skill development.

Our licensed clinicians and qualified mental health professionals’ partner with families to build stability, strengthen relationships, and promote long-term success at home and in school.

who we serve?

IIH is designed for youth ages 5–17 who are experiencing serious emotional or behavioral issues that disrupt daily functioning and place them at risk of:

  • Removal from the home or school setting

  • Family disruption or caregiver burnout

Or, may serve as a discharge option from a higher level of care (e.g., residential, acute hospitalization, or group home).

We serve children and adolescents with a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs, including mood disorders, trauma responses, aggression, self-harm, school refusal, and family conflict.
