Celebrating 29 Years of Impact

This year, Intercept Health proudly celebrates 29 years of meaningful service, compassionate care, and a steadfast commitment to the individuals and communities we serve. More than a number, this milestone is a reflection of the dedication, integrity, and heart that our employees bring to our mission every day.

Since our humble beginnings in 1996, Intercept Health has grown from a small provider of group home services into a full-service organization offering specialized programming across the care continuum. What began with a single focus—helping vulnerable youth find safety and support—has evolved into a statewide network that delivers behavioral health, foster care, residential treatment, community-based services, and more.

While our programs have expanded and our reach has grown, one thing has remained constant: our belief in the power of human connection and the potential within every individual we serve.

To honor this 29-year journey, we recently hosted our annual Birthday Bash celebrations—first in Richmond, followed by another at our Roanoke Headquarters. These events brought together employees from across the organization to celebrate the work we’ve done and the community we’ve built.

The festivities were filled with energy and gratitude: raffles featuring exciting prizes and swag, a selfie station, hydration station, arts and crafts, and food trucks offering delicious meals and sweet treats. A heartfelt thank-you goes out to our Thrive and Culture Teams, whose planning and dedication made both events so special. Their efforts are a testament to the values we hold dear: connection, care, and community.

As we stand at the threshold of our 30th year, we’re not only celebrating what we’ve accomplished—we’re also looking ahead with purpose. Next year will mark a major milestone: three decades of service. It will be more than an anniversary—it will be a defining moment in our story. One that reflects our history, honors our people, and sets the tone for what’s next.

With each new program we launch, each individual we work with, and each community we serve, we move forward together—stronger, more connected, and more committed than ever. The road ahead is filled with promise, and we are excited to walk it with all of you.
